This means we are on our last 100km to the finish line. Quite a journey and those who haven’t already are starting to book flights home. There is a different energy in the walk as people realize they might just get this thing done.

Today was a tough 27km day. Uphill. Downhill. Uphill and then downhill and then shorter roller coaster ups as and downs. Then the real descent from 4500 feet. Hard on knees and a slow slog. Very tired again. That said Galicia is a beautiful province.

We passed some very beautiful towns, most notably, O Cebreiro. It rained hard all day so the pictures aren’t quite representative of the town. Stone walls and thatch roofed houses

Did I mention it rained almost the whole day and we had to walk in mud and cow poop

O Cebreiro
Cows told us to move out of the way.
Hard to get a photograph that clearly shows how steep these mountains are.
Quite a large pilgrim statue at the highest point of trail today.
