We had to abort our attempt to climb Athabasca. We started at 3:30 am in the dark and were worried about weather since the evening before. There was a bit of lighting but we decided to keep going in the hope that as the sun rose the weather would improve. It did for a bit but dark clouds threatened and the guide pulled the plug. Disappointment but better safe than sorry.
So we climbed a lower 2800 meter Mt Boundary.
we did do a lot of glacier walking with crampons and axe Princess Sophie fell into a crevasse up to her hips Guide was not amused and he had to dig her out

What an adventure! Well done Ralph!
