Another long and hard hike of about 8 hours. Total distance travelled 8 km. Normally I hike 9 km in just under 2 hours. Steep.
That said today was probably the most spectacularly scenic day of the trip.
We hit the famous ladders, saw ibex, and the mountains were indescribably beautiful.
While the ladders themselves were not that hard, the fall is 1000 feet if u make a mistake. The tough part is the scrambling on all fours between ladders with a backpack that wants to flip over your head and knock you off balance. A mistake is costly.
The big ibex was majestic. Hoping to see more tomorrow. This one was a bit far so zoom in to the otherwise boring landscape shot.
We will try to finish tomorrow but doing so is a very long day so 2 days is likely
This is an unbelievably beautiful hike and not to be taken lightly. Love it.
